Requirements:
• Experience – Minimum of 10 years Network Administration and/or Systems Support. See below for specific technical skills.
• Troubleshooting – Must be able to accurately and quickly troubleshoot a wide variety of potentially unrelated technical issues. Must be proficient in diagnosing systems issues directly, remotely, and occasionally “blindly” by phone. Must be skilled in making or finding technical resource information for addressing issues as diagnosed. Must be committed to continual learning to maintain current skills.
• Communication – Must be experienced working with end-users of all levels of professional rank and technical proficiency. Must be capable of working directly with Executive level staff, including participating in Executive level meetings. Must be capable of clearly explaining complex technical issues to non-technical end-users as necessary. Must be able to assist in the creation and delivery of client proposals and sales presentations. Must participate as a team member to establish, maintain and enhance the company's client relationships.
• Transportation – Must have reliable vehicle transportation, with the ability to travel on a daily basis throughout the Puget Sound region.
• Professionalism – Must maintain a well-groomed and professional demeanor, and abide by company dress code requirements.
• Reliability – Must be on-time and accountable, and able to work in both a team and independent manner. Must be detail oriented and maintain detailed client billing and service history records.
• Responsiveness and Follow-Through – Must be committed to completing the tasks assigned, frequently in a time-critical manner. Work hours are generally during regular business hours, however many tasks must be performed after-hours or on weekends. Position also requires 24x7 on-call availability.

Desired Technical Proficiencies:
• MCSE, CCNA or equivalent certifications are desired, but are not required. Experience and proficiency are the most critical factors.
• Advanced Networking – TCP/IP, VLAN, QoS, VPN (IPSec, PPTP, etc), DHCP, DNS, LAN/WAN, Complex Routing, Multi-NAT, Firewall configuration, 802.11.
• Servers OS – Windows NT, 2000, 2003 required, Unix/Linux preferred.
• Server Technologies – Exchange (and many others), Web Hosting (IIS5, IIS6, and many others), Databases (SQL, MySQL, etc.), Backup, RADIUS, RAID, SAN, NAS, iSCSI.
• Client OS – Windows, Macintosh, Null-Term.
• Windows Environment – Must be highly skilled in Windows Domain environments, including Active Directory, Peering & Clustering, Load Balancing, Security Policies, Roaming Profiles, Terminal Services, Virtual Server.
• Programming/Scripting – VBScript, ASP, .NET, Java, JavaScript, HTML.

Lyon Technical Services utilizes it's pool of qualified contractors for the delivery of it's special and ongoing client services, and also draws the bulk of our permanent technical staff from this pool.
